final concert

Last night's concert was the penultimate one at which the son will take part, tomorrow will be the final one. It was enjoyable, and remarkable when you consider that this is a school concert, people that have barely learnt the use of their instruments. The big band performance at the end of the concert was impressive.

This morning, leave the land of Nod at five o'clock, and make breakfast. Struggle to take the coffee and the eggs on toast upstairs, the intention being to write these notes and then to get on with the day. This plan failed, the peace and quiet in the bright upper rooms induced tiredness, and so finished the nights sleep on the green couch up there.

Settle down to write this at eight, and now the few daily words are in the computer. The ticking clocks say that the time is elapsing on this day with no particular plan as to what to do.

There is nothing unusual in that, but it is a waste of time.
