The cat vomited in the hallway during the night, and the biggest satisfaction this morning was not to have stepped into the damp array of partly digested cat food. Such a false step would have been a really bad start to the day.
Take the spare roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and wipe up the mess, finishing it all off with a wash of water. It is good that carpets are not part of the decoration here, they would be more difficult to clean up. All is well now, and it is time for breakfast.
The steady hiss in the left ear has been joined by a high pitched whistle, the whole thing is beginning to sound like a distant jet engine. The thought that these noises caused by the tinnitus will never go away is saddening. It is the feeling of being a broken down machine that is no longer working as it should which is disturbing.
Despite the cat's best efforts, breakfast is delicious. At five to seven the first aircraft of the morning flies past overhead on it's way to the landing at Munich airport.
