Sleep long today, and take the heavier dose of pills. Commence sorting the things in the small flat ready for the departure tomorrow. Take the car to Terenure to buy a bottle of wine, buy two and a sandwich. It is strange to see the enormous hurry of all the motorists on the busy crossing, with all the attempts there to regulate the traffic.Enjoy the sandwiches at the side of the street and watch the cars go by. There are seats provided at the side of the road by the grocery store.
On the way to the store there was nearly an incident with a car that was trying to enforce some right that its owner felt to speed in the left hand lane. It is good that nothing happened.
The journey home was uneventful, and the next hour was spent using the Dyson vacuum cleaner to remove all of the hairs and dust from the floor of the flat that had been the living quarters for the past three weeks.
Then a notice was read that the ferry to Dunkirk had been delayed for six hours.
This caused excitement.
And now there is a visit to the film director in Enniskerry to be made.
