that never happened

up too early.
Again.
Cannot sleep.

So take the computer, go to the table.
The cat goes wild, expecting early food. All it gets is a pat on the head.

Read the news. Read that Justice, the blind woman with the scales, presides over the American judiciary after all.
That is worthwhile news, it is a relief. The British are still unclear, unsure, proud and unaware. That is sad news.
The local foreign minister is talking about furthering the independence of European commercial systems from those friends who have declared them foes.Something like that, but it sounds sensible.
The picture is not as bleak as it was
yesterday.
Go back to bed.

The sons collection of alarm clocks sounds, hear him get up.
Hear him start the coffee maker.
Wake fully when the second alarm sounds. It is light now, there is light from outside.
Put on a shirt, go to the coffee maker. Charge it with coffee, then go back into the bedroom for the computer.
Upon returning, see that the son is perplexed that the coffee machine's sieve is already filled with fresh coffee. Inform him of the situation. So he reassembles the coffee machine, puts a cup underneath and starts it.
Then he hugs his father and wishes a good morning.
It is good and lucky to have a son.
A daughter would be nice too, but that never happened.
