spillage

24th of October 2020
Lift the lid on the coffee maker after turning it on, to see if there is any water

in the plastic water tank. The tank is nearly empty, fill a plastic bottle at the tap and then fill the reservoir with that. The reservoir floods, overflows, now there is water on the
table. Clear the table, use a teacloth to wipe up the water.
Now that the machine has warmed up, make a cup of coffee. The clocks have been set an hour later, it is light outside.
There is a basket full of washing in the hallway, still wet from the machine. Take it upstairs, and hang
it up in the attic by the illumination of the skylights there. The cat sits and watches, perhaps she d.es not know what to make of this.
Downstairs again, the son is awake, and he has made a mess, he had heated something for breakfast and it had overflowed. He tries to wipe it up, but he is too lazy to get a bucket to wring out his cloth into. So he runs back and forth between the hob and the sink, leaving a trail of drops on the floor.
Spend some time showing the young teenager how to use a bucket and a cloth effectively.
The biggest problem is the explanation to the young man that even simple things need to be learnt.
