bureaucracy on the 16th, forgotten blog

 16

forgotten day

that is just too bad, a day spent trying to straighten things out in the house, electrical things that never worked properly since the electricians were there, that never worked at all.

Electrical things are difficult when it is unclear as to which rules the installing firm worked by.

Gave it up, and then was overtaken by a wave of paperwork, A sale in Japan, and a sudden realisation of what paperwork for the European Union really means. An ELSTER number is required, to be able to apply for ATLAS, which does not appear to work unless an EORI number is available. Also, a number is required to be able to classify the goods.

It is easier to let the carrier do the work, but for this service this carrier charges forty Euros. And on top of all this trouble there is also insurance.

This is  what bureaucracy means.
