Seen through the window whilst cleaning the upper balcony, a butterfly trying desperately to leave the warm dry air of the wood store. It is flying up and down the dusty little window, trying to leave for the air and the sunlight and the promise of some kind of sustenance. Leave the balcony and, in the wood shed, open the half of the window opposite to the one that the butterfly is so sadly fluttering against. Carefully, using a piece of paper, coax the butterfly towards freedom. It leaves the shadows of the wood store and flies away in the bright sunlight.
From the balcony, see that it is resting on the tin part of the roof, gathering sunlight on its spread wings.
Later watch it fly to the wall to another sunny patch there.
The cat starts to display interest in the butterfly, so shoo away the cat.
The butterfly flaps a way over the roofs of the town. This is the end of hibernation, but it is really much too early, the weather is too warm.
