Climbing up to the castle, feel the warmth already. The jacket is too warm, even though the day is still cool. Upon leaving the park, unbutton the jacket's lining and put it in the rucksack.
This is the first longer walk in a week, and it is bright cold day. A day with a clear blue sky.
There are few people about, it is Wednesday, and people are at work.
Listen to the music on the radio, and then there is the news.
News is always bad, but now it is worse. The carnage in Ukraine continues, and there is no simple way out.
And that is the end of the happy long walk. The next four hours are just spent going home.
