dead railway station

Start so late on the days walk today, so late that there is no way of sensibly walking back home. It is good that there is such a thing as a map system on the phone, and it is also good that the nearest railway station is two kilometres away.

A place called Wörth.

A place equipped with the most depressing railway station building.

A building that speaks of past glory, of railway officials, of signalmen, of freight officials.

That is all gone now and the building is empty and desolate.

Complete with bad graffiti.

There is a machine to buy the ticket from, there are no officials there who could sell you any. Wait for the train on the platform.

The only entertainment are a father and his young daughter playing with a fast and noisy radio controlled model car.

The walk was great, the weather was fine.

The railway station is a disaster.
