gone out to shop, or something

 Awaken, then breakfast and shower. Between awakening and getting up the cat wandered into the bedroom and complained. Make a similar noise in return and the cat makes a noise again.Keep this up for a while. Then get up and go downstairs, as said, to make breakfast.

There is an unexpected card in the mailbox, that is pleasant. The parcels that had been expected did not arrive. That is just too bad.

Walk the few yards down the street to the Brazilian artist's studio to say hello. She is talking to two older women, so leave and go through the town, buy some soap and toothpicks in the drug store and two loaves of bread and some jogurt in the discount grocery store.

Then go home, then return to the studio and have a long chat with the artist.

Afterwards, visit the people in the gallery, and suddenly realise that the sound of more than four people talking simultaneously is disastrous with tinnitus. Also, the air in the small gallery turns stuffy very quickly. They all elect to go next door to the Italian place, and there the background noise level is high, diners talking to each other over the loud Italian pop music from the speakers. The tinnitus hiss sets in , it appears to want to be even louder. This is a disaster. Make excuses and go. It would be an agonising two hours otherwise. 

Things are quiet in the house, the wife has gone out to shop, or something.
