Cat on the chair watching finches on the roof opposite which are busy setting up their nests. The finches are busy with pieces of grass and short lengths of twig that they have found. They know that the cat is there, in the window. They ignore her.
The cat is fascinated, this is probably instinctive, she is like a young man confronted with pornography for the first time. She watches with eyes wide open, and makes short excited sounds and her tail switches from side to side like mad.
The madness is not so great that the cat will jump, this is the second floor. It would defeat the purpose if a predator suffered injury catching its prey. Therefore, the cat will take no risks.
Today is the end of the Pfingsten weekend and the sun is pouring its heat down over the town. It is not really warm yet, the temperatures will really climb next month and in the months after that.
