 The old iron for clothes leaks. It is meant to be a steam iron, but it spreads water everywhere, it no longer works after years of having been filled with hard water from the taps. Now it is full of lime scale.

Go out and go to the drugstore for a new one. They are no longer stocking electric irons, so go to the big department store. They have a selection of models there, buy one that appears to be reasonable. Take care to keep the reciept, in case this one goes wrong too. Back at home, fill the tank on the iron with water from the dehumidifier. Assume that there will be no lime in that water. The new iron functions beautifully, in a few hours the ironing is done, twenty five shirts are in a stack, all ironed and folded

It is a domestic day. In the evening, call the lady with whom the  discussion had taken place on Monday. She has found the glasses, they were left in the restaurant. Arange a meeting for tomorrow to collect them.

The rest of the evening is spent trying to correct the pictures taken of the collection of Aftrican art some time ago. The prints have turned out too grey.

Finish of the evening by going out with the son, he has stories to tell of his first week at university. It is all most interesting.
