Sunday, the day started sunny and remained that way. It is hot for the time of year, but still it is pleasantly cool. Things will probably be quite different in a months time. Then it will be hot, and only pleasant in the early mornings.
The son comes up to bid farewell, he will catch an early train to Bayreuth, he will spend the night there and go to his lecture in the morning. Then he plans to return to be back in Landshut on thatMonday evening. Then he may start packing his things for the flat.
Take a short walk about town, have a cup of coffee in the cafe, but somehow it is just not pleasant. The old man from Argentinia is sitting at the new Italian place at the corner of the street. He is talking to somebody, just do not bother him today.
At home again, tend the plants in the tiny yard, try to remove the dead ones, and to sweep up all the dead leaves and debris from the past year. Hook up the pipe and turn on the pump to raise water from the well. It is cheaper, perhaps next year the pump will have paid for itself. Replant the trees that have grown out of their pots
It is all work, but it will just not drive the sadness away
