There were noises at six in the morning, so get up and go downstairs to the bathroom, and as usual the nervous complaints made sure that it all appeared just in time. The cat is upset and hyperactive, what is the matter with the animal?
Make a cup of coffee in the kitchen, poach a few eggs and turn a few perfectly good sheets of bread into toast. And by the time all is done realise that the coffee has been ground too finely, and the little espresso maker is having difficulties.
Upstairs again with the three quarter full cup of coffee have a sort of breakfast and read the news. There is not much happening that was not happening yesterday. The world has turned into a quite awful place.
Take the things back downstairs again and remind the son that we will be undertaking a journey today. He says ten will be in order.
