The day started nicely, breakfast as al3ways, then the son knocked and wanted to go for a cup of coffee and a cake. We did, and it was enjoyed, even after the disappointment of being too late for the small local café.
The afternoon was spent elping the artist clear his things out of the old studio and sorting things into the new studio. The day passed smoothly enough. There was a telephone call to the Argentine to tell him that it would not be possible to finish putting together his bed. The bed is useable, but there are four extra screws to be fitted. Perhaps there will be time tomorrow.
The wife of the artist parted with two lovely warm woollen blankets, one purple and one pink. They were a present for all of the work done moving their things
The work went steadily, and a small evening meal was enjoyed in the new studio. Friends of the artist turned up and the gathering went on until eleven.
And now, home , and it is ten to midnight.
