The night appeared sleepless, and the morning was not exhausting. This is strange and not pleasant. It will all make itself felt in the future, maybe tomorrow. Make breakfast at seven, listen to the garbage people outside remove the yellow bags from the various places that the people have left them. They are all at the side of the street, sometimes singly, but more often in heaps. There is now wind, so they are not rolling around like some kind of yellow plastic tumbleweed.
Breakfast is fine. Start to read up the instructions on the printer that is to be collected in the morning. It is a fine machine, it will hopefully have few hidden defects. It all does not matter, the main thing is that it works. Defects can be fixed.
There is a telephone call to the doctor. The automatic system to use the insurance card as a sort of visual prescription has not been working.
Read more about the use of the printer- this takes time.
Then the doctor calls back. They have found the fault in the prescription system, and they repeat all the instructions on the telephone for good measure. Go out to the apothecary at the end of the street, and – see there– the card works. The apothecary repeats the instructions again.
Go for a cup of coffee and eat the first couple of pills. They make no difference, vitamins are usually long term things.
Tonight there will be a meeting with the elderly couple, just a meeting, just for fun. Take a copy of the book of photographs taken at the reactor years ago along, it is a sort of a present.
That will be something extra to talk about.
