Get up and go in the relatively early morning, then when it is still dark. Today is the day upon which the big printer is to be collected, it is located in a town called Laufen near the Bavarian Alps. It is nearly a two hour drive. According to the seller the device will fit into the rear of the car if the seats are all folded over.
Start the day in the dark, remove a few parts from the car that will be in the way, and even have time to make breakfast. Whilst eating breakfast read about the aircraft accident in the United States. It is a sad business.
Start the journey just after it has been bright for a while. It is a warm clear day, considering that it is winter. The sunlight is blinding all the way to Laufen, the town lies south east of Landshut. The centre of the town has one large square and many tiny alleys down which the car will hardly fit. After some manoeuvring find a parking place at the back of the castle near the shop where the machine is waiting to be collected.
It is almost exactly ten in the morning, everything is working as arranged.
Say hello to the owner of the shop, and then go to look at the printer. It is an enormous instrument, the size is quite daunting. But there is no matter for it, if it fits into the car it will have to be taken away.
Recieve instructions as to how to bring the car directly to the shop, and with the help of the shop assistants it is possible to take the printer off its stand and to load the machine into the rear of the station wagon. The stand is easily dismantled and joins the rest of the machinery. All the screws are carefully put into an envelope.
And then there is a short click on a QR code signifying that the item has been collected.
On the return journey stop in a town called Titmoning and have a cup of coffee. The town is a decorative place on the Inn river. The cafe is not particularly good, and it is expensive too.
On the return to Landshut go home, go to the bedroom and go to sleep for an hour.
The morning has been longer than usual.
This evening there will be the woman and her saxophone to be photographed.
