Early, got up and dressed, it was time to drive to a small town called Oppenweiler, near Stuttgart. There was a second hand printer there, waiting to be collected. That is fine.
It is a long drive over the German motorways, and it is not a relaxing experience at all. Take the route via Nuremberg, it promises to have the least traffic. Arrive in the small town exhausted, it is strange, but there is not a good feeling about that uprinter.
Buy it anyway, why not. It will be better than the last one hopefully.
And then the long journey back, it is almost a hallucinatory experience.
In Landshut, the son helps to unload the printer. He is so much stronger than he looks. Now there is one printer in the house and one in the studio. The one in the house does not work as well as the one in the studio. Spend the early evening with the son working on the printer. It is all a bit of trouble.
The wife telephones with the son and informs him that she has locked herself out of the house.
Walk back home with him and then let him go on to the pub to meet up with her and to then let her back into the house.
It is the third time that she has forgotten her key.
