There was a short wakening at five in the morning, a call of nature as they say. It seemed difficult to fall asleep after that, but when consciousness was regained at half past eight in the morning it was actually probably not so bad. The cold weather is present everywhere, it seems to have reached the bones in the body that is trying to get out of bed.
Downstairs, upstairs, the depression will not go away. Read the news, there is a dull feeling that there is something wrong, that there is a large invisible entity in the room whose name is not being mentioned.
Walk in circles around the town, the bad feeling will not go. What was good yesterday is worrying today. At least, the lumbar pains seem to be going away. They will be really frightening when they are there to stay.
Even a visit to the small café fails to provide cheer. The wife is locked into her room with the her loud radio and the silent cat.
