The early morning was dismal, depressing and cold too. The thought that the second printer might not be working correctly would not leave the mind, the immense costs of a repair a serious foreboding of bad times.
Do a few things, play the world game for the NYT, and then go downstairs and have a shower. Make a cup of coffee for breakfast, what with all the too and fro yesterday there had been no time to buy any groceries. The coffee works to lift the humour a bit.
Feed the cat.
Then leave the house and have a cake in the little café for breakfast. Then cross the road and make an appointment at the barbers. Proceed down the long main street of the town. Go to the little shop that sells everything and buy a large plastic container to store the accessories for the printer in. It is a clear box with rollers on the bottom with a grey plastic lid.
Cross both bridges, the one over the big river Isar and the one over the little river Isar. Take a left down the Wagner gases and there is the studio.
Tidy the various accessories and spare inks into the new plastic box. Connect the printer to the mains and resolve to run the routine to adjust the heads of the printer.
After that, adjust the heads manually, just for good measure.
Then print a test chart.
There are no problems at all any more.
On the way home visit the grocery store. Buy the necessary groceries and a bag of apples as a treat.
The day has been saved, the printer works, and yesterdays travails were not in vain.
