Yesterday's sunburn is making the skin on the face feel stretched and slightly sore. That is probably a sort of radiation damage, the ultraviolet radiation has burnt the skin. That walk was over a stretch of nearly twenty kilometres. Without any head covering it became a constant search for paths that enjoyed the shade of trees, trees in full foliage. The water in the lakes is becoming less all the time, and is stagnating. Near the banks the surface is covered in brown matter, the remains of weeds and various scum.
Winter is preferable in many ways.
The son has nearly finished his schooling now, and has achieved a qualification that neither of his parents ever achieved. That is something to be pleased about. He has only been in the world for eighteen years now.
They are all asleep, the cat, the son and the wife.
And today, the sky is covered in grey.
There is not much more to say.
