The night was so bad, a blocked nose stopped the peace of sleep, the brother had to leave the room to avoid the choking noises and the heavy breathing.
In the morning much of the nasal trouble has gone.
Coffee and chat with the brother in the morning was a fine thing.
And a walk through the Ludwig museum in Cologne to admire the enormously beautiful collection of art from the last centuries. It is a beautiful collection in a fantastic building, the building in itself a work of art.
A further fruitless search for shoes in the lively crowds of late christmas shoppers around the vast body and towers of Cologne cathedral. The cathedral for once surrounded only by a minimal showing of scaffolding.
In the late afternoon drive out of Colognee, drive home, drive well into the night,
There is so much speeding traffic, driving unsteadily, speeding and then slowing, that it is hard to find peace in the work of steering the car during this journey.
