A big room with a high cieling and a white bed. Look over the duvet at a large painting on the wall. It is nice here, in the brother's flat in Dublin. Go to the window and look out over the city and the bay, there is Poolbeg, there is Howth, and the end of the Liffey as it pours into Dublin bay.
A good view, one that few people who live in the city can enjoy.
The brother is up early, he has made his porridge and has taken his dog for a short walk. It is an old dog now, and has all the ailments of age. One of the eyes has a cataract. Still, it wags its tail in recognition of the visitor from Germany.
