 Sleep is better in cold air that is richer in oxygen. It was a good idea to turn off the heater before sleeping last night, sleep was longer and deeper. That was pleasant. It is pleasant to have breakfast at nine in the morning, all alone but for the company of the hungry cat. She will not eat oxidised cat food, even the smell starts her backing away. Throw yesterdays excess cat food down the loo, and give her a few spoonfuls of fresh stuff. That leaves the cat happy.

Take the coffee and the breakfast upstairs, and enjoy them both whilst reading the news from the computer.

It is all strangely unsatisfying now that the weather has gone cold, there is so little initiative to do any thing. 

The fresh battery arrives for the digital Hasselblad back, charge for an hour and then test it as per instructions. It works fine, it is just the way it should be.

The film is finally ready at the chemists. It took three weeks to do, and the results are simply wrong. It was developed in the wrong way, and the results are horrible. Complain. and the money is returned. This will not do.

Still, it is possible to see from even these results that there has been no error in the camera, there is no light leaking, everything is fine.

After a visit to the café and a chat with the Egyptian waiter, return home and pack the camera. Print a label, stick it onto the parcel and put it in the post. It should be in Ireland, back with its owners, within next week.
