a quiet drink

Sleep was interrupted in the night, and it is now clear that the fault is with the beer. The beer itself is pleasant in the evening and it is easy enough to fall asleep, but the revenge comes in the night, sleep becomes impossible between the four bells followed by three bells sounding from Saint Martins church, and all the surrounding churches as well, and the three single lonely bells.

Three quarters of an hour, or maybe a bit more.

In the morning, realise that the days are colder now, the one blanket will be insufficient to insulate the body at some stage in the coming month.

Breakfast and Wordle, like every day, the breakfast was quite in order today.

Later, hurry out to the church, there is a service in honour of an artist named Sean Scully who designed new windows for a small chapel, part of Saint Martins church. The service is nice, there is a special choir and a professional opera singer to sing the religious texts. It is a Cattholic church, there is incense and there are  robes.

The windows are quite beautiful, they fit into the chapel well. There is a meeting afterwards, get introduced to people,  distribute cards to people. A radio reporter convinces that it would be a good idea to go to a nearby upperclass restaurant, and there are all kinds of important people from this small town,

The artist himself has gone off for a quiet drink, possibly, and a decent meal  somewhere else.

A glass of beer with the reporter, and distribute a few more cards.
