Slept so thoroughly and deeply that it was midday before breakfast was made. Perhaps it is shameful, but work in the studio went on until three in the morning, the science fiction statue now has both arms attached and work is starting on the hands.
There was a message from the gallery saying that today's one o'clock meeting was cancelled.
Put on clothes, organise a few things and go to the gallery for a cup of coffee. End up talking about prejudice and politics for an hour.
At home again, tidy up a few things, then put on walking shoes and walk up to the castle. The one hundred metre climb up the stairs causes heavy breathing, there is a great shortness of breath now with age, and also most probably with the inactivity of the previous year. A ten minute rest after the climb does good. The rest of the walk is easy, and it is pleasant to see that all the trees are budding and that spring seems to be coming. It is to be hoped that there will not be a cold spell again.
At home again, read the news and make a dish of boiled potatoes with butter and cheese topping. Simple, filling and reasonably tasty, it is a cheap dish.
To finish the days walking distance, a walk over to the studio would be in order. That would be another kilometre, probably another thousand steps.
