stare

The mornings waking was followed by an urge to do something. First thing, took a shower. It was earlier than most days, and downstairs enjoyed the usual breakfast. Then dressed, and decided to drive to Regensburg, just for fun. Walked through town and visited the general store and bought a small USB cable. This was in case the battery in the smart phone failed. Since the ticket is on the smart phone, a failure here would be a nuisance. Walked on through  the park, passing the vocational school and waited at the bus stop.

After the bus ride, bought a cup of coffee in the station and went to the platform. Just upon arriving at the platform noticed a young woman staring. Upon looking back she looked away at once. Went up the platform for a short distance and looked back again, she was staring again. This was strange. Went down the platform for a short distance and placed the coffee cup on the railing. Looked up again, she was looking again, only to look away. Perhaps we had met somewhere, sometime and both had half forgotten the encounter

Her train arrived, and she left with her friends.

The train for Regensburg rolled in, boarded, and in an hour  the train was in Regensburg. Wandered about window shopping, admiring all the well dressed people and all the fancy shops. Regensburg is much bigger than Landshut, and there are more students there. Regensburg has a large university.

Had a cup of coffee in a small café, and took a few pictures of the furniture. This was all very carefully selected furniture, it all had splendid character.

On the way back to the railway station, took a picture of a young woman hurrying past a church entrance. The journey back was uneventful, except that the young man opposite had just been outside the train vaping, and put an open can full of energy drink on the ledge beside the carriage's window. These are two horrible scents, the nicotine vape and the sweet smell of the energy drink,

In Landshut again spoke for a while with the son, and dealt with a few very strange email communications. Rather, just left them unanswered.

Spoke for a while with the son, and then went out shopping. In the supermarket a little girl standing beside her fathers shopping cart stared. Looked back, looked away. Passed, and looked back again. She had turned her head and was still staring, as little children do. Smiled at her, she just stared. Turned and walked away. The child must have been about four, maybe five.

That was the second staring encounter today.
