never give up

Tried to start the car today, and it would not. Even with the help of the little jump start battery there was just no chance of starting the engine. None at all. The small battery is empty. Take it back home and charge it.

This takes a lot of time, it is a slow charging system which runs over the universal serial bus system.  

Went to the shop to buy some coffee and cat food. There were small packages of tea towels on sale in the non food area. Thinking that it would be nice to have a few such towels in a fresh and clean condition  it seemed a pleasant opportunity. It was possible to get rid of all the small and tiny coins in the machine. The machine seemed happy to count the coins, all the one and two cent pieces that are not happily accepted anywhere else.

Also, bought a small connecting cord so that the heavier duty adapter could be hooked  up to load up the jump start device.      

At home. tried out the cable with the twenty watt mains adapter. It worked faster than the USB connectors on the extension cord. But recharging the device just took too long, so sat down and started reading.

Perhaps later tonight a short trip to the studio can be made to keep the artist company. That wo old put an end of the day

The cat is dissatisfied this evening, the wife upstairs has locked the cat out and the available food downstairs has been consumed. The cat now constantly tries to go upstairs, and then comes down again to make noise at the closed door. Cats never give up,
