The day has finished with the commencement of the work on the tax documents for this year. This day did not have much going for it. Last night was spent at the studio, working on finishing the surfaces on one of the works. The artist himself is no longer entirely capable of doing this work himself, due to arthritis in his thumbs. It is good and interesting to be able to help out. Perhaps it furthers the personal understanding of the work of a sculptor using wood.
But it was late, and upon returning home drank a few glasses of wine to calm the spirit. This worked so well that awakening in the morning turned out to be almost a complete failure.
It is good to sleep well, but the day is disordered as a result.
Wander about the town for an hour, and have one very disappointing cup of coffee.
And in the evening settle down to the problem of preparing the tax documents for the accountant.
There will probably be not time for the work in the studio this evening.
