The mercenaries have stopped mutineering in Russia.
That is the first thing that the news shows. Alone in the house today, deal with the mess in the kitchen just a bit. This is just while the breakfast is being made, the coffee percolates, the eggs boil, and the toast toasts. The dishwasher is emptied and partially refilled, the empty containers for milk are removed from the worktop and the half used bags of sugar and flour are replaced in their drawers.
The floor is swept, the sink is cleaned.
Take breakfast up to the rooms upstairs, and read the news.
Take the grey suit out of the wardrobe, check that it still fits, and find a shirt and tie to go with it. Today is the day to take the perhaps prospective lord mayor of a small town in the southwest of Germany to his election party.
It was an offer, and he took it up when his own car broke down.
Pack the camera and feed the cat.
