Yesterday afternoon, after an abrupt 'phone call the friend who was going to do the electrical work turned up and started to work.
It was a case requiring constant surveillance, he would out of a sense of some self-important duty have commenced ripping out as much of the available wiring as possible for the sake of his understanding and for the satisfaction of his sense of safety. A complete catastrophe would have been the result.
Listening to his moaning, his cursing against the amateur way in which the structures had been installed start to wonder whether or not it had been a good idea to ask him to do this work. It had been necessary to ask for some kind of return for his constant requests for photographic work, but it might just have been cheaper to hire an electrician.
He works and works and in the end there is some neat work done, and the replacement of circuitry and the installation of superfluos main switches is averted. He finally leaves in a semi-professional huff in the early evening.
Exhaustion sets in, and after a short conversation with the son go out and have a small meal in the local Italians place. Return home after this and forget to do this entry for this blog.
