The day on the road yesterday left a trail of exhaustion today that resulted in a long sleep, and its attendant guilty feelings. This long sleep is over now, and the next stage is mental preparations for the proceeds of the day. There will be a drive again, but shorter; to visit the collector and his African sculpture collection.
A short walk about the town, a cup of coffee, that was a help to start the mind working.
But now it is one minute past one, and there will have to be some concrete planning, it will be necessary to pack the equipment again, to check whether or not there has been any damage. The pictures were downloaded from the camera at midnight, the mistake noticed whilst their creation turns out to be not as serious as might have been expected. This is a big relief. They are not much more than the man who came second in the vote shaking the hand of the new Burgermeister.
Time is slipping away again, the finches are chirping outside, and there is a noise of building work now that the midday break has finished.
