a duo that makes the blood run cold

 The post for today, the relief that the son has arrived is a good feeling.

Do not ask him how it was at the Brocken, lest he takes umbrage at being stalked. Children do not cut worried parents any slack, to use an American expression. Apparently he missed a corner and hit a kerb, the front rim has a dinge. That is good if that is all.

And all of this at seven in the morning, make the breakfast, and a cup of coffee for the son. Upstairs again, check the photographs from yesterday, two were printed on the wrong side of the paper. This is silly. Take the blood pressure pills, and then  remember that they had already been taken earlier. This means that there is a double dose for the body to deal with.

Awake again at ten, after the immediate effects of the overdose have worn off. Lercanidipin and Candesartan, a duo that makes the blood run cold.

Package the prints and take them to the post office, and walk through town and leave the other package at the radio reporter's place. He is not at home today. 

Buy a bag of apples and a loaf of bread. More will not be needed today.

And then go home, it is early in the afternoon.
